Professional Development Unit
The YUSFLPDU coordinates all professional growth initiatives designed for instructors at different stages of their career. It serves as a platform for peer learning, mentoring, and institutional development by organizing training workshops, observation cycles, and reflective projects.The unit encourages instructors to reflect on their teaching practices, set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals, engage in collaboration, and document their learning outcomes as part of the school’s continuous improvement system.
Mission:
The Professional Development (PD) Unit aims to foster a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and collaboration among language instructors. Its mission is to support teachers in enhancing their pedagogical, linguistic, and technological competences in line with the principles of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the institutional vision of quality education through innovation and inclusivity.
Vision:
To be a leading example of a reflective and collaborative language teaching community where instructors engage in lifelong learning, share best practices, and contribute to the development of sustainable, learner-centered education within Yalova University and beyond.
