Dear Students,
The assessment criteria for the English preparatory course offered at our school consist of three components for each module: 30% mid-term exam, 30% assignments, and 40% final exam. The midterm and final exam percentages are calculated solely based on the grade obtained in the relevant exam, while the assignment grade includes the total of points obtained from multiple assessment tools.
As is known, the assignment grade consists of points obtained from mini-tasks given throughout the module, the quiz to be held in the 8th week, and exercises completed on the online platform of the textbooks. As a school, our aim in assigning homework is to encourage learning to continue outside of class hours, not just during lecture times. We believe that continuing the language learning process independently of time and place will help you, our valued students, achieve the desired outcomes in a shorter period of time.
In response to requests from you over the past six weeks, a minor adjustment to the content of the homework grade has been deemed necessary. To ensure that students who are unable to complete online homework due to not having access to textbooks are not disadvantaged, a quiz will be held on Friday, 7 November 2025, at 12:00. Only students who do not have access to the online platform for textbooks will be able to take this exam, and this quiz score will be reflected in the system in place of the online assignment score.
In order to prepare for the exams and arrange the classrooms, we need to determine how many of our students will be taking the exam. For this reason, students who do not have access to online assignments must click on the link below and fill out the participation form by 5 November 2025, Wednesday, at 17:00.
Note: Only students who do not have a password to access online assignments will be able to take this exam.
