About the Proficiency Exam on 25 September 2025
Who Can Take the Exam?
1.    Students placed in undergraduate programs of our university that require compulsory English preparatory education (Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, International Relations, Economics, and Business Administration in English) according to the 2025 YKS results, and who wish to be exempted from the preparatory program.
2.    All 2023 and 2024 intake students (including international students admitted via the Foreign Student Examination – YÖS) who have received English preparatory education in the 2023–2024 and/or 2024–2025 academic year but failed, and who wish to pass the preparatory class.
Note: This exam is not for students who wish to be exempted from Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II (YDB101 and YDB102) courses taught in Faculties and Vocational Schools under Article 5/i.

Exam Venue: Yalova University Central Campus, School of Foreign Languages (face-to-face)
Exam Start Time: 10:30
Important Notes for Candidates:
•    Candidates must be present at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the exam start time for ID verification and necessary procedures.
•    Students without a valid ID document will not be allowed to take the exam.
•    Candidates must know their student number beforehand in order to correctly fill out the student number section on the optical answer sheet.
•    Candidates should bring their own exam materials such as pencils and erasers.
•    Exam results will be announced through the Yalova University Student Information System (OBS).
